In the world of software training and advisory services, going the extra mile often means hitting the open road. This is precisely what PSD Citywide’s skilled advisors do for our valued clients when they need assistance. On a recent journey across Ontario, one of our Implementation Advisors, Bill Myers, epitomized PSD Citywide’s commitment to going above and beyond for our customers.
Bill’s journey began in the serene town of Georgian Bluffs, nestled along the picturesque shores of Georgian Bay. PSD Citywide’s mission was to streamline the Town’s maintenance operations through the power of software. As the sun cast a warm glow over the waterfront, the implementation team huddled together to discuss their goals and objectives. It was apparent that the Town’s maintenance manager was eager to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery to residents. Having determined this, PSD Citywide’s advisors had a clear understanding of the Town’s needs and the knowledge required to put a plan in place to help achieve their goals.
The next leg of the road trip led the team to Hanover to provide Route Patrol training to the Town’s Roads department. Rather than providing the department with a typical training station, PSD Citywide always takes it a step further. In this particular instance, going the extra mile meant hopping into the patrol trucks and hitting the streets. This allowed the team to gain firsthand experience with the challenges that the Town faces and the routes they manage. This immersive approach allows us to provide tailored training and solutions, ensuring that all Hanover staff is well-equipped to handle any situation that may arise. The enthusiasm and dedication of our clients inspires us to work alongside them in the field. Through this, we solidify a bond of trust and collaboration with our clients that will undoubtedly serve as the foundation for their future success.
The journey continued with a visit to Fort Erie, where Bill, alongside other staff, worked closely with the Town’s Roads and Fleet department. The Town of Fort Erie had ambitious goals of implementing not one, but three software solutions: Maintenance Manager, GIS, and Asset Management (AM). The scope of this project was considerable, but so is PSD Citywide’s determination to ensure its success. As we do with every community we work with, our team spent countless hours discussing our client’s unique requirements and tailoring the software to fit their needs precisely. With a plan in place, the Fort Erie team was ready to embark on their journey toward operational excellence.
Before concluding the journey, two final stops were made in North Frontenac and North Grenville. During these visits, Bill’s team provided more software training to our clients on-site.
There is a major benefit to conducting software training in person since users are able to actually work through real-world scenarios within the mobile application during training, as well as having PSD advisors there in person to assist with answering questions. Despite the long hours and extensive travel, it’s always rewarding to see the satisfaction of our clients after onsite visits.
Bill’s road trip across Ontario is just one testament to our unwavering commitment to going above and beyond to serve our clients, and it is a journey that we are more than willing to take time and time again. PSD Citywide advisors are not simply consultants, but partners in our clients’ success stories. As experts in their field, our staff is there to guide, support, and empower our clients as they navigate a path toward operational efficiency and excellence.
